After the last few years of re-establishing and establishing life at this point in life, I celebrated and planted a veggie garden.
Growing up a farmers' daughter, marrying a farmer, and being a farmer, nothing gives me more joy that seeing seedlings sprout into the nutritional sustenance of food from the garden to the table. Feeling the earth in my hands, getting dirt under the nails, luxuriating with the sun's warmth on my back, and birdsong in my ears, I smile. Knowing that the vibrancy of the life force in the food fills me with sunshine, vitamins and God's promise of the bounty of the earth.
Gardening is BLISS!
